With the Honey Bee under threat, Faiths4Change is planning a training event looking at bee keeping, attracting bees and the health benefits of bee products, with a Liverpool based expert. All welcome.

 
12 July South Wales A Series One Day Summer Workshops At Michele Fitzsimmons Edible Landscaping Garden in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales (only a 15 minute train journey from Cardiff Central, 60 minutes from Bristol & a little over 2 hours from London ) www.ediblelandscaping.co.uk Pick & Cook (6 hours) Harvest what's in season from Edible Landscaping's wonderful garden and create some great dishes. Finish off with dining on your magnificent results and a glass of organic wine or cider. A relaxed fun day of glorying in nature's bounty. Courses are run at regular intervals throughout the year using seasonal produce. The next course is scheduled for Saturday July 12th.  
14-25 July Schumacher College, Devon Sacred Activism A one or two week course at Schumacher College. Participants will develop and understanding of the principals of Sacred Activism. They will discuss visions of the world and how to deal with global crisis through Sacred Activism, sustainable wellbeing, environmental ethics and religion. Speakers: Mary Evelyn Tucker, John Grim, Andrew Harvey, Andrew Harvey  
15 July Hereford Hereford Christian Ecology Group: - a talk on Allotments in Hereford by Roy Harris, Chairman of the Hereford Allotment and Leisure Gardeners Society, at St John's Methodist Church, St Owen Street, Hereford HR1 2PR, 7.30 p.m.  
18-20 July Hayes Conference Centre - Swanwick - Derbyshire The popular annual National Justice and Peace Conference from 18-20 July - organised this year in collaboration with Liverpool Catholic Archdiocese Justice and Peace Commission - still has a few places left. Bursaries may be available for families and young people wishing to attend. Taking the theme, 'Hear my people cry', the three-day conference will he held in Derbyshire 18-20 July. All are welcome. Details - The conference will explore what it means to "live justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with God". Fr Tom Cullinan, who has written many times on Creation Theology will lead reflections throughout the conference. Workshops include coverage of green issues such as climate change, extractive industries and simpler lifestyles.

4-10 August Llangrannog Window on the World: Caring for Creation -Urdd Centre, Llangrannog
A family conference for Christians of all ages. keynote speaker, Revd Dr Hielke Wolters, Director of the Justice, Diakonia and Creation programme of the World Council of Churches, and infuse the whole conference, from its vibrant youth and
children's programme and hands-on workshops, to worship and Bible
study. A European conference with a world church feel, Window on the
World is a programme of the Council for World Mission European region.

22-25 Aug Cheltenham GREENBELT -If you've ever been to the Greenbelt festival before you'll already been
looking forward to it. CEL is booking a stall as usual. Are you planning to go, and would you be able to spend a couple of hours on the stall sometime during the four days? It's a good way of meeting other CEL members. If you are interested, please let Paul Bodenham know, without any commitment at all at this stage.
